The ARRL 80-Meter Extension Kit is a loading coil and a short length of wire which attaches to our End-Fed Half-Wave (EFHW) antenna. This kit electrically lengthens the antenna, allowing it to be resonant on the 80-meter band. The coil provides the required inductance for 80-meter operation, while the wire extension installed after the coil allows for fine-tuning. This modification typically results in a narrow bandwidth on 80 meters, often requiring the need for an antenna tuner.

15 cm heat shrink tubing 25mm
11 meters of enameled winding wire 0.50 mm
4 meters of Copper/Kevlar antenna wire
